In 1998, the outdoor music festival wasn't as major as now. I didn't know what it was and participated one in Nagano alone with casual clothes. It rained at night and I got immersed the sound outside without any outdoor equipment, then I got soaked. The next day, I stunk with a damp on the shuttle bus to the near station and a foreigner next me cursed something. I remembered it best.

Many people might know "Tettiiri" and "Tessa" as blowfish cuisine. When I was a child, my father liked baked blowfish with Japanese pepper, Sansho. They burned Sansho with it, and it smelled bad for me. It was the first experience of Sansho for me, then I hated it. But now I love Sansho.

Hair cut

I cut my hair at a 1,000 yen barber shop in Kobe about two weeks ago. QB House is famous for 1,000 yen barber in Japan, but it was the other one. You can't request elaborate hairstyles in such cheaper shops, so I ordered to cut it very short on the sides and back and leave it bit longer on the top and front.

I have no plan to celebrate Halloween, but I wish I had opportunities to do so. It must be definitely enjoyable to spend with friends together with funny costume. I don't care about its real meaning or history. I think just such kinds of interaction are worth for my life.

A laundry folding robot will be on sale in Japan. However, Folding laundry strangely makes me calm down. There is something to give me opportunities for making me look back myself or become the innocent through such routine of chores, also for instance cleaning a toilet. That is the age that there was no digital product in the world. Nintendo was just a toy maker in Kyoto. When my farther took part in the factory tour with his work union and bought a ray gan set on a whim. It was sophisticated toy that a ray hit made the target roulette turned by the electric motor. My brother and I were amazed crazily.

Mottainai

I can’t sometimes throw away delivering cardboard boxes from mail order shops because of “mottainai.” Actually I could have used some of them for other objectives, so I’ve became not to be able to throw them out more. I’d like them to stop using cardboard boxes and deliver with a container case, then take it home after delivery.

Lucky

When I was coming home from my high school and walking on the temple's boundary low stone steps facing the road, I stepped it off and fell to the road, and a truck car passed just by me, I saw big tires went through with high speed beside my eyes. However I had no injuries.

I was born in Kyoto which is as known as a tourist destination in Japan, but I had never been any Kyoto's sites while living there at my young age because I thought that I could visit there anytime. I eventually went there after a couple of decades from beginning l

Minaduki

There is a Japanese sweet called Minaduki in Kyoto. The confectionery is a base of a triangle-cut sweet rice jelly over which sweet red beans are spread. It had been eaten in June from old era in the meaning of beating the summer heat. It actually isn't cold and isn't resembled cold material, but it is interesting that somehow I can feel cool by it's looks.

Ghosts

I don't believe ghosts, but I think it is very interesting that there are people who have seen ghosts. In other words, we shouldn't declare that they are liars and we should respect them. Rather, we may understand human beings rather than ghosts by investigating what cause their such experiences.

Ebi-Mangetsu

There is a snack called "Ebi-Mangetsu". This is a white round potato starch cracker, included the shrimp and squid extract and baked and flied and then crusted salt. Shrimp pieces such as a small lawn shrimp are kneaded in it, and it gives a red color accent. It is good for simple taste, no forwardness like rice or wheat.

On rainy days, I go for a walk to the town at early dusk. It's because it is very beautiful that the neon signs of the buildings, the colors of the traffic lights, and the headlights and the tail lamps of many cars reflect on the obscure dark wet roads.

My most favorite Japanese painting is the folding screen "Natsuakikusa figure screen" painted by Sakai Hoitsu. There are arrowroots and Japanese pampas grasses fluttering in the wind on the left wing, and summer grasses drooping in the rain and a small water flow over there on the right wing. Actually this was drawn behind Ogata Korin's "Wind God Thunder Graphic Screen" with his respect after about 100 years.

Sleep paralysis

Sleep paralysis might be brought due to consciousness awaking before movement nerves awaking. However, in my case, I felt that I couldn't move and floated facing up, and in the next moment, I became awake by fear and I realized I had slept on my side. The most favorite Disney movie is Star Wars. Actually, I liked them before Lucas sold the licenses to Disney. Now, I feel something negative with Disney that earns with various side-stories of Star Wars, but I can't help watching the series of them due to such a Impressive theme song.

Matcha sweets

I prefer simple Japanese sweets such as mizu-youkan, warabi-mochi and so on. However, what I can't accept recently is Matcha sweets. Surely that such bitter tastes may fit sweet dairy ingredients, but the products are no longer in a chaotic world with mind of anything ok if it includes Matcha.

Local Best and Worst

I live in Kyoto. I think local people know they don't know their own local goodness well, therefore the best is that they have humility on that awareness, but nevertheless, the worst is they (Kyoto citizens) have a feeling of superiority even though they say they don't know well.

Golden Week

I work for Golden Week every year. It is because I decide to take substitute day-offs on weekdays when resort area are not crowded. However, in fact, every time I become very busy and I have never got these day-offs after that. I need to take GW like everyone else.

A large amount of insects

That was the last weekend I visited my parents house. When I entered the entrance, I saw a large amount of insects brought out from the lower wood stile. Too much quantity of them reached to the opposite side. I straddle them and walked to my brother without any upset not to frighten my old mother then I reported him that.

Travel essential

A shaving machine is my travel essential. I don't want to take it if possible because it is bulky and a bit heavy. However, a hotel amenities razor always injure me, so I only have to take it. I wish there is a shaving machine that become a mobile battery.

 Seeing a TV program “Himtsu-no-Kenmmin Show” bring me a relax. To be honest, I don’t enjoy it so much. Perhaps I have had a time that I thought it was interesting. So I think the relax may be just the ruminate of my old impression.

A favorite English phrase.

"You spoiled everyone else. Now it's your turn." is my favorite English phrase. I think it means "I must get revenge because I did terrible things to other people", but it was an advertising phrase for a product. I was curious that by what kind of intention they used such a phrase.

A thrifty person

I thought I was a thrifty person because I don't like to spend money especially on food and clothes. However, I haven't be able to save money so much, so in reality I waste something. I might be wasteful with buying books, art exhibition catalogs and traveling once a month.

For my health

I try not to eat as much as possible for my health. It is not to reduce my weight, but to reduce the burden to my internal organs. It is because I realized that my bad physical conditions such as diarrhea and lumbago was due to the deterioration of my organs.

Movies at theater

I prefer watching movies at a theater. The biggest reason is the large screen and full sound, additionally, I am attracted that a lot of audience have common surprises and feelings at the same time in a theater. It does not mean anything, but at least it means not alone.

Conversation is anxious

I feel anxious when I have to do daily conversations. Bragging may be annoying and self-deprecating must be miserable. These are minimum requirements. I always have black coffee, but one day, I drank a cup of coffee with sugar and milk then I chewed a mint gum to eliminate the sweetness. I found it tasted of like LOTTE COFFEE GUM, and I remembered that of my childhood. Does that sell even now?

Airbnb

I have used Airbnb when I traveled alone to Sapporo. I stayed only 4 nights and single use. It was good for a bit cheaper but less service than hotel, so I didn't feel much merit. If I have a next, I would use it for longer term or more numbers.

Danshari

I think the many material consumption society is needed for the old mass production industrial society. As it is over, it is natural that Danshari will be promoted by the society. The era of mass service consumption society might come due to the request of new industries, for example IT.

Our jobs replaced by AI?

Almost of us can do jobs like cleaning. There are cleaning robots, but cleaning as jobs would take high cost to let AI do it, so it may be judged that AI does not match it. I think there are some jobs that are cost effective but superior of human.

I saw a celebrity before.

When I was relaxing at a hot spring in Shimane, Shimizu Komiaki and a TV camera came in.He was saying "Oh nice!" to see the outdoor bath but it sounded funny because of his way of speaking like playing and unnatural. However, that might be good extent on TV screen.

When I get sleepy at work

When I get sleepy at work, I usually sleep for about five to ten minutes lean on the desk. Even sleeping for a few minutes will recover from drowsiness fortunately. As this has scientific basis, such napping is being accepted in the society recently. I can use it when i want to think a bit.

Embarrassed thing

When I was a little child, I went to a suburb small amusement park with families. I was walking cheerfully and having intention with my mother. When I turned around and said something her, it wasn't my mother but a passing unknown woman, then I cried loudly. I might be embarrassed.

Wild animals

If I could own any wild animal, how about sparrows? I heard that Moto Fuyuki, a celebrity, protected a sparrow attacked by a crow and has be feeding it over six months, then he is warned by the authorities as a violation of wildlife protection law. His YouTube makes me know sparrows are very smart and friendly.

Marriage and romance

I wonder who came up with "romance" for marriage. I think marriage should be rather the efficient system for collaboration from the past time. We tend to demand "romance", then it could make mismatch in reality. Therefore, the opinions may be different depending on whether to ask "romance" or not.

Hokkaido custom

I shocked in a TV program right now that in Hokkaido they use droopy willow branches than usual cheerful bamboo for Tanabata festival tag, use dash writing wild wooden tags instead of aka elegant paper cards for Hakunin-isshu and use originally imported peanuts but traditional roasted soybeans for Setsubun festival.

The strangest-looking animal

I'd like to say that the standing human is the strangest-looking animal, but actually it is Chondrocladia lyra that I saw on TV before. It is a deep-sea carnivorous animal, and has white vertical thin rod such as antennas were spreading to four directions like a pyramid. It is that's all.

A manner has been changed. "Matrix" is a story in which a hero fights for humankind in a simulated virtual world in the big computer. However, I couldn't be sure of what he really won. Because I guessed that everything was just his dream actually. He was only lying on a machine-like chair while fighting.

If I could choose one person in the world to interview, I choose Makoto Shinkai who created the animation movie "Your Name". I'm interested in his expression of "landscapes", so I'd like to ask him about them. I don't think his "landscapes" are realistic, but they seems to be "landscapes" reflected in the human heart and then projected out to real space.

I think there have been too many people so far. It will be a serious turning point for big companies that are targeting mass market and fueling mass consumption. It might be a good opportunity to realize again the former usual style of economy with various businesses in small communities.

Culture backgrounds

I think each culture has its own background, so if I tried to do the same things in other culture, I couldn't learn anything from them. If I had a noble tea time like British people, there would be just relax time between busy jobs and completely different from the essence.

Tricorder is great

Star Trek's tricorder is the most desired portable device for not only me but also all of us. Tricoder is made of two devices, a small sensor unit as large as a lighter, and a main unit that analyzes and displays. It can analyze enemy computers as well as human condition.

Is it my compliment?

Mistakes occur sometimes in restaurants, for example, dirty dish, not enough dish and different order dish. However, I don't complain them, just reports them. I think If I felt I must complain them, there was strange something by which I felt rather was hurt my pride and unguessable by others.

I think the best way to lose my weight is not to eat as less as possible. I guess I'm getting older and I automatically get more efficient moving, in other words acquire the ability of less energy consuming activity. Therefore the only way is reducing amount of eating.
